Healthy Collard Green Wraps
New to collard green wraps? Consider them like a spring roll, but wrapped in a collard green leaf instead of rice paper. They are a great gluten-free and grain-free alternative to a standard wrap or sandwich. They are also a great source if vitamin A, C, B-6, calcium, iron, and magnesium, so why not give them a try?
This recipe is for you to prepare the collard green leaves and have them ready in your fridge for any wrap you want to make. It’s super easy!
Ingredients:
1 bunch of collard greens
Salt
Water
Instructions:
Wash and trim the collard greens. Drop trimmed leaves into boiling salted water, a few at a time for 30 seconds, (they'll be bright green) and then transfer them to a bowl with iced cold water. Transfer to a cutting board and pat dry. Make your favorite wrap and store the rest of the leaves for later. Enjoy!
