Delicious Grilled Fish Tacos
There are many different recipes for fish tacos but this is definitely one of my favorites. You get the freshness of the grilled fish and a kick of the heat from the avocado sauce that I like to make. I hope you like them as much as I do.
For the fish:
1 Halibut filet (3-4 tacos depending on the size of the fillet)
1/2 lime
Tajin seasoning to taste
Sprinkle of cumin
Salt to taste
Sprinkle of chili flakes
1 garlic clove
Season the fish, seared it on a frying pan at high heat, and then cover to cook for 8 minutes.
For the sauce:
1 lime
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
Salt & pepper
1 Avocado
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 garlic clove
1 1/2 JalapeƱo peppers OR serrano peppers, stemmed, seeded, and chopped (you can use whole for more heat if you want)
Toppings:
1/2 cup of chopped cabbage (red and white) Season the cabbage with lime, salt, and olive oil.
Thin slices of avocado
1 Diced Tomato
1/4 cup of fresh chopped cilantro
Lime
Red onion (optional)
I highly recommend using corn tortillas over flour tortillas. Warm them up on a pan or directly on the burner for a few seconds before using it.
