How To Cook The Perfect Rice
Believe it or not, rice is really easy to screw up but once you've got your technique down, it's also really easy to get it right.
This is my mother’s recipe and I have to say, her rice is always perfect! I hope you like it.
Ingredients:
1 cup of Jasmine rice
2 cups of water
1 tablespoon of butter
A drizzle of olive oil
2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley (Optional)
Preparation:
In a medium heat saucepan saute the fresh garlic with the butter and olive oil for 2 minutes, then add the Jasmine rice and keep stirring for about 4 more minutes.
Add the water and salt, mix it up and cover the rice. Lower the heat to low and cook it for about 15-18 minutes. Remove the rice from the stove and add the fresh chopped parsley, let it cool down for a few minutes and then mix it up before serving.
Now you have the perfect rice ;)
